Final Report Train Derailment near Hazelton KS Panhandle Subdivision
| On Monday, February 12, 2024 at approximately 5:05 a.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Hazelton, KS which affected both main tracks. Hazelton, KS is approximately 270 miles east of Amarillo, TX. BNSF field personnel responded to the derailment site. Main track two was returned to service on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 9:55 p.m. CDT. Main track 1 was returned to service on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 3:45 p.m. CDT. |
