Initial Report-Train Derailment near Cairo, NE (Ravena Subdivision)
On Friday, February 9th, 2024 at approximately 04:43 a.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Cairo, NE which has affected both main tracks. Cairo NE is approximately 17 miles east of Ravenna NE. BNSF field personnel are responding to assess the derailment site. The time for opening of the main tracks has not been determined at this time.
