Initial Report: Train Derailment near Ritchey MO Cherokee Subdivision

On Saturday, April 13, 2024 at approximately 7:41 p.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Ritchey, MO which affected the main track.  Ritchey, MO is approximately 62 miles west of Springfield, MO.  BNSF field personnel are responding to assess the derailment site.  The estimated time of opening the main track has yet to be determined.
