Update Report-Train Derailment near Hazelton, KS (Panhandle Subdivision)
| On Monday, February 12th, 2024 at approximately 05:05 a.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Hazelton, KS which has affected both main tracks. Hazelton KS is approximately 270 miles east of Amarillo TX. BNSF field personnel has assessed the site, and repairs are underway. Main track two has been returned to service on Monday, February 12, 2024 approximately at 21:55 CDT. The estimated time for opening main track one is 09:00 A.M. CDT on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. |
